Work
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010295
The transfer of energy that occurs when a force acts on an object, causing it to move a certain distance in the direction of the force. In meteorology, work is performed by atmospheric pressure forces on air parcels, leading to changes in their kinetic or potential energy. It is measured in joules (J) in the International System of Units.
