Kilojoule

A unit of energy equal to one thousand joules. In meteorology, it quantifies the energy content of atmospheric processes, such as latent heat release during condensation or the energy associated with air parcel movement. One kilojoule is equivalent to the energy expended when a force of one kilonewton acts over a distance of one meter.
