Equivalent temperature
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005459
The temperature a parcel of moist air would attain if all its water vapor were condensed and the latent heat released, with the parcel then brought dry adiabatically to its original pressure level. This thermodynamic quantity is a measure of the total heat content of a moist air parcel. It is always greater than or equal to the actual air temperature.
