Pseudoadiabatic process
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008193
A thermodynamic process in which a saturated air parcel undergoes adiabatic expansion or compression, but all condensed water is assumed to instantly fall out as precipitation. This means the latent heat released during condensation warms the parcel, but the water vapor content decreases. It is a simplified model used in atmospheric science to represent the behavior of moist air in clouds.
