Reversible moist-adiabatic process

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008560

A thermodynamic process in the atmosphere where a saturated air parcel expands or compresses without exchanging heat with its surroundings, and all condensation or evaporation is assumed to occur reversibly. This means that if the process were reversed, the parcel would return to its original state without any net change in entropy. It is an idealized concept used in atmospheric thermodynamics to understand the behavior of moist air.
