Pseudoadiabatic chart
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010692
A thermodynamic diagram used to display the vertical profile of temperature and dew point in the atmosphere. It features a skewed temperature axis and pre-printed lines representing pressure, temperature, dry adiabats, moist adiabats, and mixing ratio. Meteorologists plot radiosonde data on the chart to assess atmospheric stability, determine cloud base and top heights, and forecast convective weather phenomena.
