Stability chart
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009172
A graphical representation used in meteorology to analyze the vertical temperature and moisture structure of the atmosphere. It typically plots temperature and dew point against pressure or height, allowing meteorologists to assess atmospheric stability, potential for convection, and the presence of inversions. Skew-T log-P diagrams are a common type of stability chart.
