Condensation level
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004572
The altitude at which a parcel of unsaturated air, when lifted adiabatically, becomes saturated and condensation begins to occur. This level marks the base of a cloud or fog layer, as water vapor starts to convert into liquid droplets. It is determined by the initial temperature and dew point of the air parcel.
