Continentality index

A numerical value that quantifies the degree to which a location's climate is influenced by its distance from large bodies of water. It reflects the difference between continental and maritime climates, primarily in terms of temperature range. Higher index values indicate a greater annual temperature range, characteristic of inland areas.
