Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004644

A tabular display that summarizes the relationship between two or more categorical variables, often used in meteorology to evaluate the performance of forecasts. It presents the frequency distribution of the variables, showing how many times each combination of categories occurs. For example, a 2x2 table might compare predicted rain versus observed rain.
