Cotidal hour

A measure of the time interval between the moon's transit over the Greenwich meridian and the occurrence of high water at a specific location. This value is expressed in lunar hours, which are slightly longer than solar hours. Cotidal charts display lines connecting points that experience high tide simultaneously, providing insight into the propagation of tidal waves across oceans.
