Semidiurnal tide

A tidal pattern characterized by two high tides and two low tides of approximately equal height within each lunar day, which lasts about 24 hours and 50 minutes. This pattern is driven primarily by the gravitational forces of the Moon and the Sun. Many coastal areas around the world experience semidiurnal tides.
