Deterministic forecast
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004953
A weather prediction that provides a single, specific outcome for future atmospheric conditions, such as a precise temperature or precipitation amount at a given time and location. This type of forecast is generated by running a numerical weather prediction model once with a single set of initial conditions. It does not explicitly quantify the uncertainty associated with the prediction.
