Point

A specific, discrete location in space or time for which a meteorological variable is measured, observed, or forecast. This can refer to a single grid point in a numerical weather prediction model or the physical location of a weather station. Point forecasts provide predicted conditions for one such location, in contrast to area forecasts that cover a broader region.
