Mesoscale model
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007220
A numerical weather prediction model designed to simulate atmospheric processes at the mesoscale, with horizontal grid spacings typically ranging from a few hundred meters to tens of kilometers. These models provide detailed forecasts for localized weather phenomena such as thunderstorms, sea breezes, and urban heat islands. Examples include the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model.
