Dewpoint
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004965
The temperature to which a parcel of air must be cooled at constant pressure and constant water vapor content for saturation to occur. At this temperature, the air can no longer hold all of its water vapor, and condensation begins. A higher dewpoint indicates a greater amount of moisture in the air, making it a direct measure of atmospheric humidity.
