Dewpoint formula

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004967

A mathematical equation used to calculate the dewpoint temperature from measurements of air temperature and relative humidity or vapor pressure. These formulas are derived from psychrometric relationships and the Clausius-Clapeyron equation, which describes the relationship between vapor pressure and temperature. One common approximation is the Magnus formula.
