Dewpoint hygrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004968
An instrument that directly measures the dewpoint temperature by cooling a polished mirror surface until condensation (dew or frost) forms on it. A sensor detects the onset of condensation, and the temperature of the mirror at that moment is the dewpoint. These hygrometers provide highly accurate measurements of atmospheric moisture content.
