Cryogenic hygrometer

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-004781

An instrument designed to measure atmospheric humidity by cooling a surface until condensation or frost forms. The temperature at which this occurs, known as the dew point or frost point, is then used to calculate the water vapor content of the air. This method provides highly accurate measurements, particularly in very dry or cold conditions, and is often used as a reference standard.
