Optical hygrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007707
An instrument that measures atmospheric humidity by analyzing the absorption or scattering of light by water vapor. These devices often use infrared or ultraviolet light sources and detectors to quantify the amount of water vapor present in a given air volume. They offer non-contact measurements and can provide rapid responses.
