Lyman-alpha hygrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007072
An instrument used to measure atmospheric water vapor concentration by detecting the absorption of ultraviolet radiation at the Lyman-alpha wavelength by water molecules. This technique provides rapid and precise measurements of humidity, particularly in turbulent atmospheric conditions. It is often employed in eddy covariance systems.
