Bemporad's formula

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003882

A mathematical expression used to calculate the optical air mass, which represents the effective path length of sunlight through the atmosphere. This formula accounts for the curvature of the Earth and the varying density of the atmosphere. It is applied in atmospheric optics and solar energy calculations to correct for atmospheric attenuation.
