Saturation specific humidity

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008664

The maximum amount of water vapor that a parcel of air can hold at a given temperature and pressure, expressed as a ratio of the mass of water vapor to the total mass of moist air. When the actual specific humidity equals this value, the air is saturated, and condensation or deposition will occur if further cooling happens. It increases significantly with rising temperature.
