Saturation mixing ratio

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008660

The maximum mass of water vapor that can exist in a unit mass of dry air at a given temperature and pressure. It represents the mixing ratio at which the air is saturated with respect to water vapor. This value increases with temperature, indicating that warmer air can hold more moisture.
