Downwind

The direction toward which the wind is blowing, or a location situated in that direction relative to a reference point. This orientation is relevant for understanding the transport of atmospheric constituents like pollutants, aerosols, or moisture. For example, a location is downwind of a city if the prevailing winds carry air from the city towards it.
