Dust avalanche

A rapid flow of dry, powdery snow mixed with air, descending a slope at high speeds. This type of avalanche is characterized by its turbulent, cloud-like appearance and can entrain large volumes of snow as it moves. Dust avalanches are distinct from slab avalanches, which involve cohesive blocks of snow.
