Equilibrium climate response

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005435

The long-term change in global mean surface temperature that occurs after the climate system has fully adjusted to a sustained doubling of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration. This metric quantifies the sensitivity of the climate system to radiative forcing. It is a key parameter in climate change projections.
