Fog scale

A classification system used to describe the density or severity of fog based on the observed horizontal visibility. This scale typically ranges from light fog, where visibility is reduced but still several hundred meters, to dense fog, where visibility is less than 50 meters. It is used in meteorological observations and aviation weather reports.
