Unrestricted visibility
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-009894
A meteorological condition where the horizontal visibility is 10 statute miles (16 kilometers) or greater, and there are no obstructions to vision such as fog, haze, or precipitation. This indicates very clear atmospheric conditions, allowing for excellent long-range viewing. It is a key parameter for aviation and marine operations, often reported as 'P6SM' (plus 6 statute miles) or 'CAVOK' (ceiling and visibility okay) in aviation weather reports.
