Glare ice

A coating of clear, smooth, and transparent ice formed on surfaces, typically from the freezing of rain or drizzle. It is extremely hazardous due to its low friction and difficulty in being seen. This type of ice forms when surface temperatures are at or below freezing and precipitation falls as liquid.
