Glare
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005988
Intense and uncomfortable brightness caused by direct or reflected sunlight, often reducing visibility and causing visual discomfort. In atmospheric optics, it can result from sunlight reflecting off water, snow, or ice surfaces, or from direct viewing of the sun. Atmospheric haze can sometimes diffuse glare, but it can also scatter light to create it.
