Sky-ground luminance ratio

The ratio of the luminance of the sky to the luminance of the ground, a measure used in daylighting design and visual perception studies. This ratio indicates the contrast between the overhead sky and the horizontal surface below. It is a factor in assessing visual comfort and glare.
