Mackerel sky

A sky pattern characterized by rows of small, white, cirrocumulus or altocumulus clouds, resembling the scales on a mackerel fish. This cloud formation often indicates changing weather conditions, sometimes preceding the arrival of a warm front. It is a common visual cue for atmospheric instability.
