Perfectly diffuse reflector
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007850
A theoretical surface that reflects incident radiation uniformly in all directions, regardless of the angle of incidence. The reflected radiance is constant for all viewing angles, making the surface appear equally bright from any perspective. This concept is used in atmospheric optics and remote sensing to model the scattering of light by certain surfaces, such as a fresh snow cover.
