Lambertian surface
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006850
A theoretical surface that reflects or emits light uniformly in all directions, such that its apparent brightness is the same regardless of the viewing angle. The radiant intensity from such a surface follows Lambert's cosine law. Many natural surfaces, like snow or matte paint, approximate Lambertian behavior.
