Grayscale

A range of shades from pure black to pure white, used to represent data where color information is not present or is irrelevant. In meteorology, grayscale imagery is often used for satellite or radar data to display intensity, such as cloud top temperatures or precipitation reflectivity. It provides a continuous spectrum for visualizing scalar values.
