Heat burst

A localized atmospheric phenomenon characterized by a sudden, rapid increase in surface temperature and a decrease in humidity, often accompanied by strong, dry, gusty winds. It occurs when rain evaporates from a thunderstorm's downdraft before reaching the ground. Temperature increases of 10-20 degrees Celsius within minutes are not uncommon.
