Hidden layer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006239
A layer of nodes in an artificial neural network located between the input layer and the output layer. Each node, or neuron, in a hidden layer processes a weighted sum of inputs from the previous layer and applies an activation function before passing the result to the next layer. The number of hidden layers and the number of nodes within them determine the complexity of the patterns a model can learn from meteorological data.
