Hydrological forecast

A prediction of future hydrologic conditions, such as river levels, streamflow, or flood inundation, based on current and historical data, meteorological forecasts, and hydrologic models. These predictions provide advance warning for potential floods, droughts, or water availability issues. Forecast horizons can range from hours to several months, depending on the application.
