Hyetal region

A geographical area characterized by a distinct pattern or amount of rainfall. These regions are often delineated based on average annual precipitation totals, seasonal distribution, or the frequency of specific precipitation events. Examples include tropical rainforests as high hyetal regions and deserts as low hyetal regions.
