Isobathytherm
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-006687
A line on a chart or cross-section connecting points of equal temperature at a specific depth within a body of water, such as an ocean or lake. These lines are used to analyze the thermal structure of water bodies and identify features like thermoclines or thermal fronts. A map of isobathytherms for a given depth reveals the horizontal temperature distribution at that level.
