Adsorption isotherm
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-003312
A graph or mathematical relationship that describes the amount of a substance adsorbed onto a surface as a function of its concentration or partial pressure in the surrounding fluid, at a constant temperature. In atmospheric science, it characterizes how water vapor or other gases bind to aerosol particles or ice crystal surfaces. Common models include the Langmuir and Freundlich isotherms.
