Henyey-Greenstein phase function
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-010535
A mathematical function used to describe the angular distribution of scattered radiation in a medium, such as the atmosphere. It characterizes how light is scattered forward or backward by particles like aerosols and cloud droplets. This function is widely applied in radiative transfer models to simulate atmospheric scattering processes.
