Scattering function

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008693

A mathematical description of the angular distribution of scattered radiation from a particle or a volume of particles. It specifies the intensity of scattered light at different angles relative to the incident direction. This function is used in radiative transfer models to simulate how light propagates through the atmosphere and interacts with aerosols and clouds.
