Scattering area coefficient

Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008689

A measure of the total scattering effect of a collection of particles per unit volume of air. It represents the effective cross-sectional area for scattering per unit volume. This coefficient is used in radiative transfer calculations to quantify the attenuation of light due to scattering by atmospheric constituents.
