Optical scattering probe
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007715
An instrument that measures the properties of atmospheric particles by analyzing the light scattered by them. It directs a laser beam through a sample volume and detects the scattered light at specific angles. These probes are used to determine particle size distributions and concentrations in aerosols and clouds.
