Forward scattering spectrometer probe
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005731
An airborne instrument used to measure the size distribution and concentration of atmospheric aerosol particles or cloud droplets. It operates by detecting the intensity of light scattered by individual particles as they pass through a focused laser beam. These probes typically measure particles in the size range of 0.5 to 50 micrometers.
