Drop-size spectrometer
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-005149
An instrument designed to measure the size and concentration of individual hydrometeors, such as cloud droplets or raindrops, within a sample volume. It operates by detecting the optical properties or electrical charge of particles as they pass through a sensing area. These devices are used in atmospheric research to characterize cloud microphysics and precipitation formation.
