Raindrop spectrograph
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-008375
An instrument designed to measure the size and velocity of individual raindrops as they fall through a sampling volume. It typically employs optical or acoustic principles to detect and characterize each drop. Data from these devices are used to determine the raindrop size distribution and rainfall rate.
