Optical particle probe
Term · Meteorology and atmospheric science · MLC-T-MET-007711
An instrument designed to detect, count, and size individual atmospheric particles, such as aerosols or cloud droplets, by analyzing their interaction with a beam of light. It typically measures the scattering or extinction of light as particles pass through a sensing volume. These probes are widely used in cloud physics and air quality research.
